Founded in 1976 by company principal Peter Rochford, Rochford Garden Machinery was originally a garden machinery retailer.

Following continued growth the business began distributing products to other dealers in the area, and eventually to its current national dealer network of over 1000 specialist dealers. Rochford Garden Machinery gained over 30% more pallet positions with Bendi Australia.
